Apprenticeship Vacancies - London & SE
LGV Driving Apprentice
Rochester, Coventry, Warrington, Wishaw, Woking, Swindon, Wakefield, Nottingham, Crick
Minimum 21 years of age, full UK driving licence, You have GCSEs at Grade C / 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications), or you’re happy to complete Functional Skills qualifications alongside your apprenticeship. You’ll need to pass an eye test and a DBS check to train as an LGV Driver

Working Week: Our operations run 24/7. You’ll work 5 days a week out of 7 and shifts times will vary based on your rota but may start as early as 3am and end as late as 2am. Flexibility is required.

Qualification: A 13-month programme earning a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) driver apprentice qualification, a C&E Licence, and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC)

We operate the largest and most recognisable Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) fleet in the UK, and we’re proud to have such a strong, safe, and skilled team of drivers on the road.

On the programme, you’ll benefit from on-the-job driving experience and complete a range of masterclasses designed to teach you everything you need to know about the role.

About you:

21 years of age or over with a full UK driving licence (with less than 6 penalty points)
Passion for driving and working independently
Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
Good customer service and communication skills
You have GCSEs at Grade C / 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications), or you’re happy to complete Functional Skills qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
You’ll need to pass an eye test and a DBS check to train as an LGV Driver.

Advanced Engineering Apprentice

Qualification: Level 3 Advanced Engineering

Kickstart your career with cutting-edge technology and achieve industry-recognised qualifications. On this programme you'll explore robotics, machine intelligence, and more, guided by experienced mentors. Develop the skills to become an Automation Maintenance Technician and learn how we use automation to improve our business.

You'll receive support to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours to become an automation maintenance technician.

There are two routes to choose from: Mechatronics and Design engineering

Role Responsibilities:
• Perform daily maintenance tasks safely and to standards.
• Identify, prioritise, fix, and test automation faults.
• Record component usage, monitor and improve equipment performance, and complete technical reports.
• Comply with technical processes and support managers.
Maintain a safe, organised work area and assist in risk assessments.
Identify improvement opportunities and develop automation skills through training.

About you:
• You have GCSEs at Grade C / 4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications), or you’re happy to complete Functional Skills qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
• You’re interested in how things work, have a logical way of working and want to learn and develop in a hands-on role.
• You work well as part of a team and are driven to find the answers to problems.
